RJ spends 22 hours a day inside a run looking out at the world and waiting for the 2 hours of freedom in the play yards if weather is good. This has been his world for 2 years. RJ is sponsored with a subsidized fee of $25. RJ is a charismatic speckled boy who loves, loves, loves people. He should not be with cats. He is very selective about the dogs to which he will be receptive. RJ loves to give kisses and to take long walks. Animal Control in Dec 2014 and he has waited many long days to leave his concrete home behind him. RJ is 3 1/2 years old and has lived in our shelter for two years. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a 'No kill' shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines-deworming-vet exam-standard disease testing and for dogs-monthlyprevention heart worm treatment. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquishment. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Contact or visit CSHS, 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571, 706-865-4135. The shelter is located 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen in the NE mountains. https://www.facebook.com/smithgallhumanesociety (Less)

My grandparents have lived on a farm for the last 20 plus years, and they have always taken in any animal that wonders onto their property. Unfortunately, we lost my grandfather this year so my grandmother needs to sell the farm and move in with her sister. Is used to having lots of land and being an indoor/outdoor dog. Such a sweet and easy going personality! Hate to see him go, but he needs room to run!

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Dalmatian in Georgia|
Dalmatian Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. Dalmatians are energetic, companionable dogs. Dalmatians need to be with people and may become despondent if left alone. A Dalmatian makes a wonderful pet for families with children but should be supervised with very small kids. Dalmatians are good with other household pets but can be combative with dogs they do not know. Dalmatians have a slight tendency to be high strung or timid if they do not have enough exercise or socialization. Dalmatians are smart but can be stubborn. They respond very well to early, consistent obedience training. Dalmatians need a home with a good sized yard.
