My name is Casper and I want to be your new best friend. I am a young guy and have lots of energy and enthusiasm. My hobbies include playing in my foster family's fenced-in yard with my foster family's big dog. We love to run. I also like to play with my toys and play fetch. I still am in the young dog stage of liking to chew, but if you tell me to put something down, I am pretty good about listening. It might be best for now not to leave things on the floor you don't want me to chew for you. My favorite hobby of all is snuggling with people. I love to fall asleep in laps. My foster family taught me how to 'sit' this week! They tell me I am very smart and trainable. I am house-trained, but make sure during the first week that you take me outside often so I know where you want to me go potty. My foster family had me sleep in a nice big crate at night so that I didn't get into mischief, but now I get to sleep on the bed and snuggle all night. I also sleep through the night I love other dogs. My foster brother and another dog that was visiting and I had so much fun playing! I need lots of exercise and fenced-in space to run because I am young and have lots of energy. I love people. I haven't hung out with kids or cats (at least as far as my foster parents know) but they suspect I would love them, too. I am such a love sponge, there is even a heart on my nose! If you are interested in giving me a forever home please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. |Rescue Me ID: 18-03-30-00049Shiloh (female)|
This charismatic speckled Australian Cattle Dog mix can be seen when outside, happily racing the fence lines with the neighboring dogs as she revels in the freedom and friendship that comes with her brief amount of outside time. When back in the kennels she presses her face into the gates, hoping for another release into the play yards or to see a leash which means a walk and companionship. Shiloh was pulled from Animal Control after picked up as a stray. She is a young girl who is being scheduled for spaying and can leave us once recovery is complete. Shiloh would love to have visitors come to take her for walks with pauses for some hugs. More photos on her Facebook page. Her adoption fee is $100. Application can be submitted online at our website: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ or at the shelter. Adoption policies/application procedures are detailed under All Adoptable Animals. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home suitable for their needs and committed to their care and safety. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. Adopters who are not within the local area of the shelter MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. Meeting approved adopters is one of the final steps in the adoption process. We do not permit transport or shipping of our residents without the adopter. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Resident animals are owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The shelter is not permitted by GA law to accept strays. The facility is usually operating at capacity with a list of animals approved for intake waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Closed Mondays Location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571, Phone: 706-865-4135 Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/smithgallhumanesociety/ Charles Smithgall Humane Society is located in the mountains of NE GA, 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen. Dalmatian Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. Dalmatians are energetic, companionable dogs. Dalmatians need to be with people and may become despondent if left alone. A Dalmatian makes a wonderful pet for families with children but should be supervised with very small kids. Dalmatians are good with other household pets but can be combative with dogs they do not know. Dalmatians have a slight tendency to be high strung or timid if they do not have enough exercise or socialization. Dalmatians are smart but can be stubborn. They respond very well to early, consistent obedience training. Dalmatians need a home with a good sized yard.
