|Animal ID: 37462809Nacho (male)|
Nacho is a wonderful, sweet boy, but he came to WAAL extremely fearful and especially leery of men. He is in training to work through his issues and is making great strides. He knows several basic commands, and is doing great on potty and kennel training. He may still have an accident here and there when unattended but with your patience, he will get the hang of it in no time. Nacho has been good with other dogs but may not appreciate dogs who covet toys as much as he does. He has some guarding issues in that regards that are being worked on in training. Nacho was fine with cats in his previous foster home and WAAL can do a safe intro with any in your home. Nacho loves to be brushed and won't ever turn down couch cuddles. He walks well on a leash but he's perfecting his 'heel' position in training and working on staying on one side. He is being heavily socialized with males in training to improve his disposition with them. Nacho is a work in progress and will not be a good fit for a first time dog owner. He will require a fenced yard. If you are experienced and have the patience to work with a dog who truly exemplifies what 'rescue' is all about, please apply at WAALrescue.org/adoptions. Nacho is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heart worm negative. He will do best in a home with older children. (Less)

Max is very energetic and loves to play. He's potty trained and leash trained. He needs someone that is patient and can work with him. He can come off as aggressive, but bonds very closely with his owner. Very protective. I wish I didn't have to rehome him but I have no choice.

Dalmatian Dogs can make good pets in Kansas if they match your IifestyIe. Dalmatians are energetic, companionable dogs. Dalmatians need to be with people and may become despondent if left alone. A Dalmatian makes a wonderful pet for families with children but should be supervised with very small kids. Dalmatians are good with other household pets but can be combative with dogs they do not know. Dalmatians have a slight tendency to be high strung or timid if they do not have enough exercise or socialization. Dalmatians are smart but can be stubborn. They respond very well to early, consistent obedience training. Dalmatians need a home with a good sized yard.
