Dalmatian Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

PEPPA is certainly a cuddle bug. She is still a bit shy. Here she is receiving some reassurance from Valerie during our photo session. Peppa is available at Hi-Tor and waiting a new family to call her own. 'I'm Peppa and I'm a one - year old female Dalmatian/pit mix. I'm on the small side but I'm large in the love department. When I arrived at the shelter, I was nervous at first. But everyone has been so nice giving me pets and treats that I quickly calmed down. I especially enjoy getting out and meeting new people and dogs. I would like to get a good game going with some of my canine companions, but I'll have to wait a bit for that. I'm ... (Read More)already spayed and ready to go. I'm predominantly white but my Dalmatian spots are evident. I'm a girl in search of friends. Won't you come and be my friend?' Call 845-354-7900 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-22-00288Sherman (male)

Dalmatian Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Female Dogs Only, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations, Seizures,
 Aggressive, Fearful/Anxious

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Sherman is a 7 year old (aprox) light lemon spotted dalmatian mix. His spots aren't that apparent in these pictures but if you google 'light lemon spotted dalmatian', that's exactly what he looks like. But his spots are visible in person. He bit my face back in February. I needed about 50 + stitches and part of my nose only had about a 50% reattchment rate. My face is fully healed now but unfortunately I need to re-home my dog. If it was up to me I would keep him and work with him, but my living situation changed and I now have roommates. I can not risk having one of them bit. He is currently at my fathers ... (Read More)house which is about to go on the market. He is being tended to multiple times a day and my other dog is there to keep him company. He is not being neglected at all. He's neutered. Loves smaller dogs as long as they have less energy than him. Gets along with other dogs in the household which includes a female Australian cattle dog, and a male yorki-poo. He also doesn't seem to mind cats. He loves being outside and running around. He's goofy and loves to rub his face and back in bushes (as shown in the attached video. He does not do well with children at all. I would love to find a temporary home for him until I get back on my feet and afford my own place. But unfortunately all I can do right now is just try to keep him from going to a kill shelter. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-29-00634Domino (male)

Dalmatian Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

A 3 - year old male Dalmatian/Pit mix, Domino is a striking looking dog. Predominantly white with black Dalmatian spots, he is remarkable looking. An interesting blend of the 2 breeds, he has the large pit bull head along with the Dalmatian floppy ears, broad chest and short, stiff and shiny fur. His energy level comes from his pit genes. Found as a stray, he is an active and muscular dog. Loyalty, patience, an easy- going temperament and a stubborn nature are Dalmatian traits that Domino appears to possess. Domino is a friendly, pleasant dog who would thrive in an active family. A tired dog is a good dog is an adage that would apply to ... (Read More)Domino. Dalmatian Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Casey is a beautiful and bright 5-6 year old Dalmatian mix girl. She is deaf and needs a person or family with patience and compassion to find ways to communicate with her that will enrich her life. She enjoys going for walks and spending time with people. This very special girl is looking for a very special human angel who can give her the understanding and love that she so longs for. She would do best as a single dog in a household as lacking the sense of hearing makes it difficult for her to communicate with other dogs and understand their cues. ***To fill out an adoption application for this dog, please go to the following website: ... Dalmatian Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Tag is a setter/possible dalmatian/black lab mix. He is extremely smart and very affectionate. He is an incredible watch dog. His one flaw is that he has growled at children. I don't think he would ever hurt one but with a small grandchild we cannot risk it. His trainer said that he would give his new owner a free training lesson. (His name is Tom Purcell and he trained the Buffalo K-9 dogs. He is amazing! Tag is a wonderful companion and very sweet. He needs someone who would like affection. He gets along very well with other dogs. He is very healthy and would be great to take long walks with. We are hoping for a home in the ... (Read More)country or someone with a fenced in yard. lnteresting Dalmatian Trivia Low-Cost New York Spay & Neuter Clinics
The high energy level of the Dalmatian can be attributed to the fact that the dogs were bred to accompany horse-drawn carriages. Dalmatians are traditional firehouse mascots. Dalmatians may have first been perfected in Yugoslavia or Croatia but the breed dates back thousands of years to ancient Egyptian times.
