Rescue Me ID: 18-02-03-00317Cinder (male)

Dalmatian Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Cinder is a happy laid back kind of guy abandoned by the owner to be put to sleep due to family squabbling! Shelter would not put down such a nice dog and neither would we. He loves to lounge but also has a playful side to him as well. He loves his floppy raccoon but fetch is not one of his favorite games! He is good cats and small children! Cinder can be selective about other dogs so we prefer an only dog home or a home with an experienced adopter and stable dogs. He doesn't mind a kennel but does not need one. He also loves car rides and also does great on walks, even walking next to a stroller. He does not pull while being walked on a ... (Read More)leash as well. Thunderstorms mean nothing to him and Cinder prefers his bed over a couch but doesn't mind giving some snuggle time if you ask for it. He knows basic commands and loves being rewarded with treats. Says his first foster mom: Cinder is such an amazing dog and we have been honored to have him in our home. Cinder is now in Manvel, TX foster home. Dalmatian    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)

Paisley is a happy, healthy one year old bundle of playful love who found herself in a southern TX shelter! No one came for this little lady, but she understands basic commands and is crate trained, so why not? Paisley loves to play fetch and soccer with the tennis ball and she loves the water so she's easy to bathe. Paisley is great with other dogs but not always with cats and she has way too much energy for young children. This little love bug would love to cuddle and play with teens, however. Now north of Dallas in Crossroads TX, Paisley is awaiting your application!

Marshall...he loves to sunbathe, cuddle, and be by your side. From south TX, little (only 30#) Marshall was found as a forgotten stray. He is under treatment now for heartworms and doing well. He has the cutest smile due to his overbite and he is doing well with the foster dogs. Good on the leash, Marshall has good house manners but would love to sleep with someone. He enjoys adventures, loves the water and has even been kayaking. He is a hunter outside so varmints and lizards watch out! Squirrels too! Marshall needs a home with no cats.     Meet Pepper. She is a sweet loving 2 1/2 yr old dalmatian mix. She was initially on the kill list in a local shelter for being fearful. Pepper has been trained on an ecollar and knows the commands: sit, down, here, no, and kennel. Pepper is good with other dogs as long as intros are done properly. She loves to run and play and is very loving and sweet. She always has a smile on her face. Pepper is fully vetted, chipped for life and on HW preventative. If you are a stay at home family during the day she is great. She does not like to be crated for an extended period of time as she needs to go out and potty. She does not like to stay outside ... (Read More)all the time either. She wants to be near her humans and give kisses and sleep. Her perfect home will have a fenced in yard. The perfect owner will give Pepper love, discipline, and a routine. She LOVES to run. The perfect home will not have any cats either. She does not like them and will chase them and possibly do harm to them, like kill them. If you are that perfect home for her please let us know by filling out an application. We do not place dogs in townhomes, condos are apartments. Pepper is currently at our base. Pepper's trainer is willing to do a consult for free to the adoptive home to continue her awesome training locally here in the DFW area. So, if you are interested in giving her that perfect home, please fill out the application for consideration. Home visit and vet check and references are required. (Less)

I would like to introduce you to Poppy. She is a sweet loving 2yr old bull dog mix. She was initially on the kill list in a local shelter for being fearful. She does not like other dogs except her sister Pepper and hates cats. She takes treats nicely as well. She is fed with a slow bowl as she gobbles her food down pretty fast. Poppy is totally vetted. She is up to date on her shots, spayed and is Heartworm negative and on preventative. She has been chipped and registered for life. The perfect owner for Poppy will be one without younger children as she is playful and loves to run. A young child she can knock down. Poppy loves to play and ... (Read More)will give you lots of kisses and loves to have her tummy rubbed too. Poppy is crate trained, yet she will need an person that is home most of the day so she is not always crated. She needs the freedom to be out with her people. If Poppy sees dogs on the other side of a fence, she will become fence aggressive and chase the other dog, so a stockade fence would be ideal. Her perfect home will add her to their family and not let her remain outside without supervision. She will be treated as part of the family and live indoors. I think Poppy might be good with other dogs if an introduction is done properly. . The perfect owner will give Pepper love, discipline, and a routine. The perfect home will have a fenced in yard so that she is able to run and get the exercise she needs. She LOVES to run. The perfect home will not have any cats either. PIease Read Before Adopting a Dalmatian in Texas
Dalmatian Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Dalmatians are energetic, companionable dogs. Dalmatians need to be with people and may become despondent if left alone. A Dalmatian makes a wonderful pet for families with children but should be supervised with very small kids. Dalmatians are good with other household pets but can be combative with dogs they do not know. Dalmatians have a slight tendency to be high strung or timid if they do not have enough exercise or socialization. Dalmatians are smart but can be stubborn. They respond very well to early, consistent obedience training. Dalmatians need a home with a good sized yard.

lnteresting Dalmatian Trivia Low-Cost Texas Spay & Neuter Clinics
The high energy level of the Dalmatian can be attributed to the fact that the dogs were bred to accompany horse-drawn carriages. Dalmatians are popular in the media; a good example of their charismatic appeal is the Disney movie, 101 Dalmatians. Dalmatians may have first been perfected in Yugoslavia or Croatia but the breed dates back thousands of years to ancient Egyptian times.
