We need to find a new home for our buddy, Indiana. He's a great dog. 6 years old, English Setter mix. He's great in a fenced in yard, and trained. (Sit, stay, lay, leave it - as well as house-trained.) However, he gets nervous and anxious around kids. He also tends to fight for alpha status with other male dogs, though I'd say he's far from being an 'aggressive' dog. So, if you (or someone you know), have no kids and would like a great companion, he'd be perfect.

My name is Harley. I look like a lab mix, but I am very small. I look like I can have Dalmatian Ancestry, but no one is really sure. My foster mom say's my breed is ' Rescue' , which means ' Mutt' I am 38 lbs. I am 1 1/2 years old. I love other dogs as long as they are female. I can climb a chain link fence, so I need to be leash walked or a fence that I can't climb.. I am also trained on a invisible fence which does stop me from escaping.. I am housebroken . .I am a gentle boy who loves to lay my head on my foster moms shoulder, wrap my paws around her neck and give her a big , gentle hug... . .. My adoption fee is $100.00

Dalmatian Dogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. Dalmatians are energetic, companionable dogs. Dalmatians need to be with people and may become despondent if left alone. A Dalmatian makes a wonderful pet for families with children but should be supervised with very small kids. Dalmatians are good with other household pets but can be combative with dogs they do not know. Dalmatians have a slight tendency to be high strung or timid if they do not have enough exercise or socialization. Dalmatians are smart but can be stubborn. They respond very well to early, consistent obedience training. Dalmatians need a home with a good sized yard.
