Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FRANKIE Hi! My name is Frankie. I am a 1 year old male lab and Dalmatian mix, at least that is what Ms. Mary thinks I am. I have lots of energy and I love to play. I am learning to walk on a leash, and should have it down in no time. I do get along with other dogs, but I can be a little on the grumpy side when it comes to my food and toys. Let's face it, when you have been on the streets, it takes a while to realize that there is enough food and toys for everyone. I am working on that. I would love a forever family that would play with me and make sure that I can get plenty of exercise. I hope you will come out and take the time to meet me. ... (Read More)I know you that you would fall in love with me and before you know it, you could not imagine your life without me. (Less)

Xena Warrior Princess Dog, or Xena for short, was taken into animal control as a stray. Xena was severely underweight, covered in fleas and heart worm positive at that time. She has gained weight and is on heart worm treatment, and her health has greatly improved since arrival in her foster home in Concordia MO. If you want a companion with lots of personality, this is the girl for you! Xena is good in the house, does like to sit on the furniture at times and will check out the counter tops and she is crate trained. Xena gets along well with other dogs, but she has not been around cats. She could be okay but we just don't know. Xena also ... Dalmatian Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ranger was a terribly starved stray in a central TX shelter. He weighed only 44# but today he weighs 60#! After sitting in the shelter for a month, he was moved to a foster home in Concordia MO where his condition, not surprisingly, greatly improved. Besides being totally emaciated, Ranger was heartworm positive, had hook worms and also broken teeth. Despite his terrible condition, Ranger was a sweet, lovable and loving companion. He was a wonderful house guest, preferring one particular chair in the middle of everything. He is housebroken, crate trained, does not chew, is very dog social and very sweet with people. He is also now healthy ... (Read More)(no heart worms or parasites) and ready for his forever home. Why this boy was not found or claimed, we don't know. He's certainly a gem and with one of those easy-to- love personalities. For more information, contact Jon at Adoption $300. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Dalmatian in Missouri
Dalmatian Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. Dalmatians are energetic, companionable dogs. Dalmatians need to be with people and may become despondent if left alone. A Dalmatian makes a wonderful pet for families with children but should be supervised with very small kids. Dalmatians are good with other household pets but can be combative with dogs they do not know. Dalmatians have a slight tendency to be high strung or timid if they do not have enough exercise or socialization. Dalmatians are smart but can be stubborn. They respond very well to early, consistent obedience training. Dalmatians need a home with a good sized yard.

The high energy level of the Dalmatian can be attributed to the fact that the dogs were bred to accompany horse-drawn carriages.
